In life there are many twist and turns on our journey that can either make us run towards God or run away from him. In Genesis 12:1-3 God spoke to Abraham and instructed him to leave his family. Because of his obedience God favored and blessed him on the journey. In this book club we will allow God promises to direct and illuminate our pathways through this journey called life.

About the Leader

Jasmine Allen  is a Miami, Florida native but recently moved to Riverdale, Georgia. She joined ONE in 2019 and is still in awe of the teachings! She is inspired by the Pastoral team’s understanding of the Word, and this has refreshed her knowledge of the Word and inspired her to want to serve as a Community Group Leader. 

 

For a living, Jasmine works at the United States Post Office and has two siblings of which she is the youngest. If she were to choose to describe herself as a character from a movie or tv show, she would be Dory from Finding Dory because she can easily get lost in her own head, or she would be Dora, from Dora the Explorer because she loves to travel and explore. 

 

Jasmine admits she's not one to have been blessed with outstanding vocal cords, otherwise we’d all hear her singing but her favorite tv show is either My 600-lb Life or First 48.

 

If she was to choose her favorite vacation spot it would be anywhere near water because it gives her a sense of peace and calmness.
