About the Leader

Barbara Phipps’ hometown is Cleveland, Ohio and she has resided there for the past 45 years. 

Her journey to ONE began virtually in 2020 and she loves the worship, anointed leadership and for her, it feels like home. 

She is retired, but used to work in the Information Technology field and is now a mystery author (Barbara Howard.) 

If she had to choose a character from a tv show to best describe herself, she would choose Kathrine Hepburn in the movie Desk Set, (old school Hollywood 1957 version.) This is because it’s a romcom foreshadowing the impact of technology in the workplace. 

Barbara’s go-to karaoke song would be “Nessun Dorma” by Puccini notwithstanding she isn’t an opera singer, so she would also choose “Sweet Love'' by Anita Baker. Her favorite tv show of all time would be the Jetsons because of her love for technology, in her words, ‘who would not want to be a robot maid?!’ 

If she had to pick her ultimate vacation spot so far it would be Tiberius, Israel because it was the most peaceful place she has ever experienced.
