About the Leader

Theary is from Hillsboro, Oregon, and lived in Atlanta, Georgia for seven years where she graduated from Clark Atlanta University. She then relocated to Los Angeles where she spent another seven years and recently moved back to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest. She has attended ONE for eight years, serving as the Marketing Manager for social media before leading the Women's Ministry for the past five years.

For a living, Theary is a successful entrepreneur who sews clothes (she’s a fashion designer) and owns a sustainable farm. She grew up in a big Cambodian family full of food, culture, and craziness. Her journey to finding Jesus has been unique and her own.

If Theary were a character from a movie or tv show, she would be Dr. Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory. Her go-to karaoke song is Brian McKnight, “Back At One,” and her favorite tv show is Friends. Theary’s favorite vacation spot is Thailand, when asked why she said “it's the food for me!”
